Intermediate Phase Golf for the year 2009
Our golf in the IP has mushroomed remarkably this year! Our golfing fraternity now comprises a range of levels from beginners to advanced players. Nick Van Schalkwyk has provided the golfers with a variety of skills in his lessons held at the Varsity Golf Range. He has inculcated a love of the game through DVD’s and ”Etiquette and Theory lessons” on rainy days; and exciting activities on sunny days, practicing on the putting greens, out of the bunkers, in the chipping areas and of course the best of all the longer driving areas.
The golfers have enjoyed the mashee at Windsor a few times this year and especially the many hours of fun and laughter around “grooving their swings” during Thursdays lessons.
We look forward to the year end “Dads and Lads” game on the 2 December and take our hats off to the golfers who have managed to acquire handicaps through their commitment to this challenging game!
